Tammie M. McKenzie
CHS Assistant Principal
About me..........
My name is Tammie McKenzie and I am currently beginning my 6th year as the Assistant Principal at Carroll High School. I am a graduate of Carroll High School and have admired the changes that have occurred in the district from that time and as well during my tenure in the CCSD.
I obtained a degree in Art Education from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA along with a coaching endorsement. I have taught all levels of children and have as well coached volleyball, basketball, track and golf. I received my Masters in Educational Administration from Drake University. Prior to my position in administration, I taught Art for five years at CHS and thirteen years in other districts before that.
My family and I live in Carroll and we currently have two children who attend school in the CCSD. Throughout my years involved in Education from being a student, to an instructor, to administrator and as well a parent, I have learned a great deal. Students have not changed, their circumstances and opportunities available to them have. One of the biggest indicators of success is exemplary attendance and involvement in your school.
I hope that you enjoy my site and encourage you to visit often as I will be making updates periodically throughout the year.
